Hello im petes cousin maria. His aunt mary's daughter. I just want to share something . unfortunately i never got to meet pete. , But when my mom was still here she'd talk about pete and how she used to babysit him when she was about 8 years old and even as he got older and through these past years before my mom passed away she'd had contact with him and i remember one time when she hung up the phone with him she said she was going to do a prayer for him. And that she always wished him best. My mom loved pete because he was the oldest nephew closer to her age. And had more memories with him. Even though i didnt get to meet him just knowing hes my cousin still hurts., and my prayers are with our family.:pray::blue_heart::blue_heart:

Hello this is Vicky - Peter's Aunt
I have so many memories of Peter too many to write down on paper! When Peter was working at ASU he was going back and forth from Phoenix to Tempe! One day I saw Peter at the grocery store and I told Peter what are you doing here; he said; I work at ASU in Tempe. I said Peter I live really close to ASU you can come & stay at our apartment. He smiled and he said; thank you Vicky I was sleeping in my truck because I had no money to go back & forth! Peter helped me a lot I would have church in our apartment; Peter would help me put the chairs & then put them away every Sunday! When Peter would come from work I would massage his back; Peter had a lot of back problems! On his birthday I would make him a big cake he loved chocolate cake with strawberries on top! Then Uncle Ted would get his guitar & we would sing Happy Birthday to him! I had no money to buy more candles; I only had one candle so Peter blew out one candle; before he blew out the candle he said; Vicky I'm going to make one wish; then he blew out the candle! Peter would never get anything without telling me; like a tortilla, pop or something like that to eat; he would always ask permission. I said; Peter this is your house you don't have to ask me for permission; you are like my son! I was there when Peter was born September 14, 1965. I was there when my sister Linda was having lots of labor pains in her apartment in Mesa! My sister bite her tongue & I ran to the neighbor for help; I put a spoon on the bottom of her tongue so she wouldn't bite her tongue!
They took her to the hospital & I was present when Peter was born! Peter weighed 4 lbs he was very small! I have a lot of memories of Peter he was very shy, very smart & I liked when he always smiled at me & those memories will always be in my heart!

Flora and I (mercy) were in high school in moenave and Peter went to school also he liked when John combed his hair like Alfalfa. One day he forgot to comb his hair and ran back home to get it done. Just thought that was a funny memory when he was a kid. Another memory from Flora is Peter and flora had celebrated his birthday at her house and it was only the two of them. They had a wonderful time. She holds on to that memory.

I have so many memories of my Nephew but this one holds true to my heart! His kindness, bravery, respectful and mindful personality! When I lived in Moenave at the age of 11 years old we didn't have much fruit to eat! The Maloney's had fields of green apples! One day I asked Peter (only 3 years old) can you crawl under the barbed wire to get to the trees and pick the apples on the ground! Peter hesitated at first but then I told him I would hold up the barbed wire! Peter had no problem crawling on his hands & knees to get us the green apples! He got as many as his little hands would hold! We returned home with the green apples & my sister, Linda his mom was alittle upset but she let us keep the little green apples & we happily ate them on the porch together.
In Loving memory from Aunt Rosalie

When I was little, Dad would get me a new plastic pool and swimsuit for the summer. I was the only kid in the neighborhood at the time so there never really anyone to play with and my other brothers never really cared to play with me. But when I would see you coming up the carport or Dad or my mom would announce 'Your brother is here'' I would get so excited knowing you were going to get in with me. I would remember you would get the water hose and spray and I tried to jump in and out. And when you would get tired of that, you would find a sprinkler and put it close to the pool and we would pretend we were under a waterfall or at a water park.
I will never forget those days or the family dinners and the BBQs.
We didn't get to see each other often, but when we did, it was solid.
Thank you for those great memories.

So many memories flood my mind, but what stands out the most is when we were young kids growing up in Shiprock New Mexico. (Peter, Wally and Eva)
Peter would ask Wally and me to go to the store for him to get his favorite soda and a Hostess Cupcake or Twinkies. If we went for him- he would offer to buy us a soda and candy bar for our efforts.
However- Wally and I would be too lazy to go because the store was kind of a long walk away. Peter would end up walking by himself and walk back with the soda and Hostess cupcake in hand. He wouldn't eat it until he was right in front of us to make sure we would see what we were missing out on.
Thank you.
Eva
