Obituary of Elaina Sue Thorp

Elaina Sue Thorp (Harris), affectionately known to her family as "Sis", gained her heavenly angel wings on September 30th, 2021. She was 41 years young. Elaina was born in Auburn, NY on December 12th, 1979 to loving parents Roy and Donna. As a child, she was the sparkle of the family with her long braids and joyous spirit. Elaina graduated from Auburn High School and went on to proudly earn her Nursing Degree from Cayuga Community College. As an RN, she specialized in Oncology while working for Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. Elaina later moved to Arizona, continuing her career at Southwest Oncology. Caring for her patients with dignity and compassion was not just a career, but a passion that held a special place in her heart. While very focused as an RN, Elaina was a fun-loving person that enjoyed traveling, music, and loved the holidays. She had a great sense of humor and was a bit of a spitfire. She gave freely with a kind and generous heart. Her family, though, is what always mattered most to her. While living in Arizona she attended the University of Phoenix in hopes to one day become a professor of Oncology. Elaina's health became a challenge that would prevent that dream from happening. Although difficult, she faced those challenges with determination and courage. Elaina leaves behind her loving companion, (fiancé) Mark Johnson and sweet dog Ruby Sue. God called her home, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family. She is also survived by her loving parents : (father) Roy Harris, and Janet Burt of Phoenix, AZ; (mother) Donna Combs "Little Mama" and (stepfather) Benjamin Combs of Edgewater Park, NJ; "her partner in crime"(sister) Diana Moe and fiancé Andrew Walgate in Beverly, NJ; her loving Aunt Carol Renzulla and Wendy Heitcamp of Hainesport, NJ; beloved niece Daisy Moe, and great niece and nephew, Lillian and Liam Rivera all of Beverly, NJ. Elaina also leaves behind many loving extended family and friends. Our angel will forever be loved and greatly missed. May our beautiful girl rest peacefully. We love you Sis.
