Obituary of Monica S Salais

Monica Florecia Gonzales Nunez

Born to Angelita and Everisto Nunez in Williams, Arizona on May 4^th, 1934.  She was the 4^th of 13 children. The family moved to Phoenix, where she would helped in the raising of her younger siblings. Because of her dedication in helping with the growing family, she did not finish school.  However, she was a self-taught person equal to any task.

It was in Phoenix where she would meet and marry Ambroiso Lucero Salais; they were married for 61 years.  From this union came Gavina and Amby, Jr.  Our mother was preceded in death by our father.

Our mother’s most memorable quality was her kindness- to those she loved, family and strangers. She never measured out her kindness or hospitality, you were never left hungry or wanting anything. Whether it was menudo, tamales, enchiladas, burritos, taquitos… her warm affection was present.

We will miss her, but will cherish these memories and many other memories forever…Thank You Mom.
