Obituary of Jennie Lee Pierce

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Jennie Lee Pierce on 4/22/2023. A resident of Tempe, AZ since 1961, she was born on April 6,1946 in Connersville, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Joe Pierce; Father, Edwin Eastman; Mother, Bernice Puckett; sister, Barbara Eastman; and brother, William Eastman.

Jennie is survived by her daughter, Joann Wilson (Robert); grandson, Michael Wilson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Beard (Dennis); three sisters, Jacqueline Bonacci (Michael), Bonnie Jenkins, Darla Flam; brother, Lynn Dove (Debra); beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family-friends.

Jennie appreciated all of Arizona and visited her family and friends in the cooler, Northern areas whenever she could. She had a tremendous passion for collecting movies; hundreds of all kinds, and she watched them over and over again. Jigsaw puzzles were a hobby that kept her very busy. Clive Cussler was her favorite author, and she had a large collection of books. Jennie had a talent to sew and made most of the colorful dresses she wore. No one that knew her would deny that Jen was a true romantic at heart. She loved all animals but especially her dogs; Heidi, Eva and Sophie.

The games she adored and played consistently through her life; canasta, mahjong, hidden pictures… became so much more fun on her laptop, tablet and iPhone.

Jennie loved her church and read the Bible daily. Jennie will be dearly missed, but she would be the first to inform each of us that she was ready for the return to her Maker and eager to be reunited with her husband in the Heavens.

Interment Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ at 9:00 AM on June 9, 2023.
