Obituary of Myrtle V. Ligons

Myrtle Virginia Ligons, 82, of Phoenix, AZ born August 24, 1940, in Panama City, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 4th, 2023, as a Christian, in Phoenix AZ. Myrtle was preceded by her husband, Charles Sr Ligons, father Eddie and Mother Mary Lou Washington, daughter Davida Wells, and son Jeffery Ampey. Five brothers, Eddie, Hezekiah, Gregory, Stevie, Donnie, and sister Cynthia. She is survived by sons, James, Troy, Travis, Charles Jr, and daughters, Denise, Lauree, and Djuana, and sisters Stephanie and Margaret, and many grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Myrtle was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 54 years as a geriatric nurse. She loved to attend church, sew children's clothing, crochet, and cook. Services will be held at Samaritan Funeral Home, 1505 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85006 Thursday, February 23 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and she will be laid to rest Friday 24th at 9:30 am at National Memorial Cemetery 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
