Obituary of Patricia Ann Campbell

Patricia Ann Campbell, “Patty”, passed away Aug 10th, 2023 at the age of 80. Patty was born on Aug 3, 1943, in Havre, Montana. She grew up with her parents Ole and Mildred, her brother Dick and her beloved grandfather Carl.  She graduated from Havre High School and developed many dear friendships that she would retain throughout her life. She was very active in her school and community, including editing an award-winning high school yearbook.

She attended Montana State University where she met the love of her life, Jerry Campbell. They were married in 1964 for 57 years until his passing in 2021. They traversed the country in the early years as his job demanded, but they settled in Minnesota in the 70s where she raised her family in the tight-knit community of Ham Lake.   Lifelong friendships were made and there was much joy and laughter.  As a young mother, Patty led a very active family, skiing, camping, boating, and game playing.  She moved to Savage in 1990 spending time as a mother and grandmother.   She had a natural teaching ability and worked with ESL students and special education for the school district. Patty and Jerry retired to Ahwatukee AZ in 2003 where she was able to care for her father and spend time with her daughter Annie and her youngest grandchildren.

Patty had a great sense of humor.  She was smart, a good listener, levelheaded and caring. Patty loved her children fiercely and she had a skill for parenting that came naturally.  Patty loved the arts, especially music, and shared this with her children.  She was famous for her pies.

She is survived by her brother Dick, children Jay, Chuck, Sue, and Annie, and grandchildren Ian, Ben, Jack, and Colin.  She will be deeply missed.
