Obituary of Rosemary Pauline Roles

Rosemary Pauline Ferrara Roles passed away at home after a long battle with cancer on September 9, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born on January 29th , 1951, to Angelo Ferrara and Irene Pauline Ferrara in Camden, NJ. She spent her early years in Pitman, NJ with her parents and her brother Raymond Ferrara. Rosemary graduated from Caldwell College in Caldwell, NJ in 1973. That is where she met her future husband, Roger Roles. Rosemary was a loving mother and wife and devout Catholic throughout her life.

Rosemary and Roger were married in August of 1973 surrounded by friends and loved ones. Rosemary and her husband lived in New Hampshire where she became a full-time homemaker upon the birth of her daughter Angela Claire in June 1980. Her second child, Andrew Carl was born in August 1985. Rosemary was a devoted mother, involved in both her children’s education. She held several positions in their schools including PTA officer and substitute teacher in New Hampshire and after they moved to Austin Tx in 1993. Andrew was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age four and passed away at the age of 29 in April of 2015.

Rosemary was a devout Catholic, attending Mass regularly. She was involved in the church community wherever she lived including helping with church fundraising and with religious education. In recent years she loved meeting with her friends in the ladies Bible study group who gave her much support during her battle with cancer, as did her longtime friends in New Hampshire.

Rosemary is survived by her husband of fifty years Roger, her daughter Angela Jen and husband Kane, her beloved granddaughter Clare, her brother Raymond and his wife Valerie, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her son Andrew, her father Angelo, and her mother Irene.

Her Celebration of Life is at 10:00 AM Friday, September 15, 2023, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E Knox Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044
